WHO'S THAT? IT'S ECHO!

BACKSTORY

Echo is the main lead of the story one is in. Echo originally lived in a small town in southern Luffawan, but ended up moving out-of-country after one's dad got a job opprotunity at a large company. Years later, said company would get into a HUGE scandle and had to lay off much of it's staff, including Echo's dad, leaving them with no money to afford the high rent of the large city they lived in. As a last ditch effort, they decided to move back to their hometown in Luffawan with their remaining funds.

After moving back, Echo would reunite with some of one's old friends, get a job, and start to settle back into a normal life. That is until Pajama, the god of sleep, dreams, and nightmares contacted Echo. For millennia, Pajama had chosing a group of 4 people to protect the population's minds from being taken over by those using the god's powers for evil. After being given a pair of wings to wear on one's head, Echo was chosen to be the next leader, with one's old friends being recruted along side as the remaining members.

PERSONALITY

Echo tends to bea bit abrassive, stubborn, even a bit childish for one's age, but does genuinely care for one's friends and family and will wo whatever it takes to protect them. Does have the tendancy to be over confident and self-righteous, holding a decent ego, but knows when to turn it off and take matters seriously.
When fighting, Echo tends to use melee weapons or hand-to-hand combat tp take enemies down. usually a borad sword paired with karate.

CREATION

Echo was originally a slightly modified version of a different characteri have named E. E being a placeholder character design that I put into projects before I come up with the actual final character designs. Because of this, before i had come up with a name, I more assosiated the letter E with one more than any other name I thought of. Eventually I came up with the name "Echo" because it's what the letter E is called in the phonetic alphabet.

The entire story that Echo is part of was orginally going to be a 2D rpg made in RPG Maker 2003, but I eventually settled on making it a comic after I realized just how large of an undertaking designing an entire video game with no experience would be.

Personality-wise, Echo was originally going to be a bit of a genaric goodie-two-shoes type, but I eventually settled on something some-what inspired by the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog and Gumball from TAWOG after struggling to make one fun or interesting. As a result, one is a lot more rough arund the edges than before, though still retains some of one's original traits.
